Hello again for August, although I am a bit late this month as we are over half way through. It has been a busy month so far here at Fabric Sauce, so time has just been racing away. I am looking forward to seeing Spring and having a bit longer days. However, since owing the shop I must say my garden is suffering a tad! Hopefully, I will get some time to give it a bit of a spruce up for Spring.
The girls have been making bags this month we have covered the Stash n Dash and Ditty Bags, the pattern is by Annie.com. There has been some gorgeous bags been made with everyone choosing a different colour way so they all look different and unique in their own way. They have learnt lots of techniques and how easy Annie's zippers are to use, and we are all loving our stilleto. I do have more classes on in September so if you are interested in joining a class please contact me and I can slot you in.
This Tula Pink fabric has been very popular and has featured in quite a few different bags. I have a great range of zippers in stock and if you would like to make the bag but cannot attend a class you can always buy a finishing kit that is also listed online and make it at home.
Again, sorry for the late notice but my stitching day is on this Thursday the 23rd, 10am to 4pm. Please RSVP to me to secure your place around the table. I will have the fire stoked and the kettle boiled. It is a great day to spend with like minded people.
National Jelly Roll day is just around the corner on September the 15th and I am planning on running class to introduce you to making a Jelly Roll Rug, we will not be making a full rug on the day only a sample which can be used as a trivet for your table. The cost for the day is $55.00 please RSVP to me and I will send you a list of requirements for the day. It will be a fun filled day and you will get to go home with a nice and flat trivet and the pattern if you would like to continue with a full size rug!!!
This is a sample of the trivet you can make on the day. This one is made with the Sequoia Range of fabric from Laundry Basket Quilts. You will have a few different options to choose from on the day!
For all my online shoppers just a reminder that I have reduced my Shipping Rate from $10.00 down to $8.00 on all Australian orders under $100. Orders over $100 still qualify for free shipping.
I am still managing to keep up with my hexagon day from the 365 Hexagon Perputual Calandar. This has been a huge task on some days but other days its quite easy, it guess it all depends on what else in going on at the time. I actually cannot wait to start stitching it together, but I am afraid that won't be this year!!! I hope I am not driving you all nuts with my daily posts on Instagram and Facebook.
If you have missed out on some of the new stock that has been added just check out the New Stock Page on the website, I have added some great new patterns if you are looking for a new project to start stitching. I am sure you are all starting to think about what new things you would like to start next year! New Year = New Quilt!!!!!
Happy Stitching
